Engage and Support Virtual Teams Task includes the following enablers:

• Examine virtual team member needs (e.g., environment, geography, culture, global, etc.)
• Investigate alternatives (e.g., communication tools, colocation) for virtual team member engagement
• Implement options for virtual team member engagement
• Continually evaluate effectiveness of virtual team member engagement

To learn the Engage and Support Virtual Teams Task you need:

1. In the PMBOK Guide 7^th Edition, read chapters 2.3, 2.4 (part ‘Standard’) and 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 (part ‘PMBOK’).
2. Read chapters 2.1, 2.5, 3.4, 6.4, 6.5, 9 (Communications management plan, Virtual teams), and 10 (Communication technology, Knowledge management, Meetings) in the Process Groups: A Practice Guide.
3. Read chapter 4.3  in the Agile Practice Guide.
