Introduction to CTFL Course

The KnowledgeMap™ Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) course provides comprehensive training in fundamental software testing concepts, aligned with the ISTQB® syllabus. It is available through Accredited Training Providers in classroom, virtual, and e-learning formats. For those preferring self-study, the KnowledgeMap™ course materials are recommended.

The course covers six chapters, with learning objectives designed to support business outcomes. These objectives are used to develop the CTFL exam, with questions that assess knowledge at various levels:

  • K1: Remember
  • K2: Understand
  • K3: Apply

All course content, except for the Introduction and Applying & Passing the Exam sections, is examinable. The Foundation Level Certificate exam requires understanding and applying knowledge from multiple sections of the course.
