PMP Certification, Build Shared Understanding Task includes the following enablers:

• Break down the situation to identify the root cause of a misunderstanding
• Survey all necessary parties to reach consensus
• Support the outcome of the parties’ agreement
• Investigate potential misunderstandings

To learn the Build Shared Understanding Task, you need:

1. In the PMBOK Guide 7^th Edition, read chapters 3.3 (part ‘Standard’) and 2.2 (part ‘PMBOK’).
2. Read chapters 1.1, 1.7, 1.10, 3.4, 4.1, 6.2, 7.12, 9 (Agreements., Basis of estimates, Project schedule, Project scope statement, Risk register, Team charter), and 10 (Active listening, Bidder conferences, Communication models, Cultural awareness, Facilitation, Flowcharts, Individual and team assessments, Mind mapping, Nominal group technique, Political awareness, Presentations) in the Process Groups: A Practice Guide.
3. Read chapter 4.2  in the Agile Practice Guide.
4. Watch and read an appropriate visual on PMIllustrated.com.
