PMI Audit Process

Submitting an application indicates your agreement to comply with PMI’s audit process. While all applications are subject to audit, only a random percentage are selected for further review.

What Happens If Your Application is Selected?

📩 If your application is chosen for an audit, you will receive an email notification before paying the certification fee. This electronic audit notification will provide detailed instructions on how to comply with the audit requirements.

Required Documentation for Audit

If selected, you will be asked to submit the following supporting documents:
📌 Education Verification: Copies of your diploma or global equivalent.
📌 Experience Verification: Signatures from your supervisor(s) or manager(s) for the projects listed in your application’s experience section.
📌 Training Verification: Copies of certificates and/or letters from training institutes for each course recorded in your application to meet the required contact hours of professional education.

Audit Timeline & Submission Process

  • PMI provides you with 90 days to submit the requested documentation.
  • Once submitted, the audit process typically takes 5 to 7 business days to complete if all documentation meets the audit requirements.
