Now it’s time to consolidate and increase your knowledge to finish your preparation for the exam.
First you should learn chapters about tools and techniques in both Risk Management Standard (Task ‘Toolkit learning’). Thus, you finish studying The Practice Standard for Project Risk Management that was published in 2009.
The last Edition of Risk Management Standard cover risk not only in projects but also in portfolios and programs. It was published in 2019 and based on PMBOK Guide, The Standard for Program Management and The Standard for Portfolio Management. So you need to finish reading last Edition of Risk Management Standard and to study risk management chapters in Program and Portfolio Management Standards, to understand this theme deeply (Tasks ‘Learn Portfolio Risk Management’ and ‘Learn Program Risk Management‘). We recommend using Third Editions because they are process-based and this knowledge will be needed for the examination. You will find standards by links:
NOTE: You cannot simply practice answering questions to prepare for the RMP exam. The questions are provided to help you assess your knowledge and to get you familiar with the types of questions that are on the exam. Make sure you focus your study efforts on reading Guides of PMI and other books, watching videos, passing mock exams, review your Knowledge Map, and filling gaps in your knowledge of risk management.
