Lesson #1: Onboarding

  • Content: Introduction to the course, its importance, and the KnowledgeMap™ platform.
  • Practical Exercise: Pass the preliminary test for the selected certification. Create KnowledgeMap accounts and assign access to mentoring features.

Lesson #2: I’m a Mentor

  • Content: Building a personal brand, understanding different mentoring styles, and psychological principles.
  • Practical Exercise: Personal Branding Workshop. Craft a compelling LinkedIn profile, leverage social media, and create a webpage on KnowledgeMap.

Lesson #3: Using KnowledgeMap

  • Content: Navigating and utilizing the KnowledgeMap™ platform effectively using the KnowledgeMap™ Mentor’s Guide.
  • Practical Exercise: Practice real-life mentoring scenarios with study group colleagues. Try being the mentee for each other in the group, invite them to join the mentor, build a preparation schedule, pass micro-exams, and identify knowledge gaps.

Lesson #4: Sales and Marketing

  • Content: Strategies for marketing mentorship services.
  • Practical Exercise: Sales Strategy Implementation. Role-playing exercises to practice selling mentorship services, aiming to secure at least one mentee.

Lesson #5: Creating Materials

  • Content: Crafting presentations and developing tasks for existing certifications. Developing new certification content for KnowledgeMap.
  • Practical Exercise: Create and manage learning materials on the platform. Hands-on activities using KnowledgeMap™ to create and manage learning materials.

Lesson #6: Working with Mentees

  • Content: Techniques for engaging and supporting mentees, providing feedback, and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Practical Exercise: Interactive development of individual programs for mentees. Provide constructive feedback and evaluate training effectiveness for your mentees.

Lesson #7: Certification Process

  • Content: Assisting mentees with certification applications and the official certification process.
  • Practical Exercise: Explaining to the student how to apply for and gain admission to certification.

Lesson #8: Support

  • Content: How the KnowledgeMap™ Team supports mentors, platform development, and future ideas.
  • Practical Exercise: Contributing to the product backlog with new functionalities and bugs. Add new functionality ideas or bugs to the KnowledgeMap™ Product Backlog.

Lesson #9: PMI Instructor

  • Content: Cost, terms, and requirements of PMI for obtaining PMI instructor status from an Authorized Training Partner.
  • Practical Exercise (only for those who successfully complete all previous exercises): Paying* for access and completing the Train the Trainer course. Obtaining PMI instructor status.
