1.6. Build a team

Build a Team Task includes the following enablers:

  • Appraise stakeholder skills
  • Deduce project resource requirements
  • Continuously assess and refresh team skills to meet project needs
  • Maintain team and knowledge transfer

To learn the Build a Team Task you need:

  1. In the PMBOK Guide 7th Edition, read chapters 3.2, 3.6 (part ‘Standard’) and 2.2, 4.2 (part ‘PMBOK’).
  2. Read chapters 3, 4.2, 6.2, 6.5, 9 (Team performance assessments) and 10 (Stakeholder mapping/representation, Team building) in the Process Groups: A Practice Guide.
  3. Read chapter 4.3 in the Agile Practice Guide.
  4. Watch and read an appropriate visual on PMIllustrated.com.
