One more milestone in my professional journey — I’m officially PMP® (Project Management Professional) certified.
Finally, it’s time to share this milestone here on LinkedIn.
I successfully passed the PMP exam on my first attempt, achieving Above Target performance in most domains (AT/AT/T).
One of the most valuable lessons from this journey was realizing that PMP is not about memorizing processes or choosing the “correct” answers. It’s about developing the right mindset. A mindset that enables you to navigate uncertainty, create value, make informed decisions, effectively engage stakeholders, and help teams deliver successful outcomes.
Throughout my preparation, I realized how important it is to choose the right learning resources. These were the ones that made the greatest impact on my journey:
🔹 KnowledgeMap — helped me structure my knowledge, understand the connections between concepts, and build a holistic view of project management. Special thanks to Anatolii Savin for his guidance, expertise, and support throughout this challenging journey.
🔹 Andrew Ramdayal — for providing a solid foundation, a structured learning approach, and practical explanations of PMI principles.
🔹 David McLachlan — for helping me develop critical thinking through excellent situational question reviews and teaching me to think like a project manager.
🔹 Project Management Institute — for establishing a globally recognized standard that brings together project management best practices and provides a common professional language for project managers worldwide.
🔹 PMI Study Hall — without a doubt, the best tool for assessing exam readiness. It offered the closest experience to the actual PMP exam and helped me objectively evaluate my preparation.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported me throughout this journey.
A special thank you to PMI Ukraine Chapter 🇺🇦 for creating a professional community and allowing me to meet Yevheniia Ivko, whose weekly mentoring, encouragement, and belief in me became an important part of this journey
For me, this certification is not a finish line but another confirmation that professional development is a continuous journey. The best investment we can make is in our knowledge, mindset, and our ability to create value for people, teams, and organizations.
If you’re currently preparing for the PMP exam or considering taking it, I’d be happy to share my experience, study approach, and the resources that helped me most. Feel free to reach out.
